Maple Roasted Carrots
I first came across this recipe while searching for a side dish for a Thanksgiving pot luck. Being Canadian, I loved the use of maple syrup! This recipe is so easy to make and goes well with many dishes.
3tablespoons melted butter
1teaspoon sea salt
8carrots, cut into match sticks
2tablespoons maple syrup
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Place carrots on baking pan and drizzle the butter over top and sprinkle with sea salt. Toss the carrots around to cover in salt and butter. Bake for 45 minutes. Check on the carrots every 15 minutes to toss to prevent burning on one side. After 45 minutes take out of oven and drizzle maple syrup over top. Place back in oven for 5 more minutes.
