Instructions

 

First Layer:

Crush almonds in food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Add the arrowroot powder, 1/4 butter, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1/2 teaspoon sea salt  and process until well blended. Press into a 9″ square pan that has been greased or covered with parchment paper.  Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15 minutes. Let cool.

Second Layer:

Beat 1/4 butter, cream cheese, 2 teaspoons vanilla and 3 tablespoons of honey until well mixed.  Spread over first layer. Place in fridge and cool for about one hour.

Third Layer:

Place the last 5 ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Spread on top of layer two and put back in the fridge for another hour. Cut into squares and serve. These treats freeze well.
