Sourdough Pancakes – Just Like the Gold Miners Ate!
These are quick and easy to make if you have extra sourdough starter ready to go in the fridge. They are usually gobbled up every time I make them!
4tablespoons melted butter
2tablespoons sweetener (rapadura, honey, maple syrup, or a pinch of stevia powder)
2tablespoons arrowroot powder
1/2teaspoon sea salt
3/4teaspoon baking soda
Preheat cast iron frying pan. Mix together all of the ingredients in a large bowl. If the batter seems a bit thick then add a little water. Pour batter into medium heat frying pan and cook for about 2 minutes per side.
Serve with butter, honey, maple syrup, yogurt, crispy nuts, fresh fruit or what ever you like. I like mine with just butter and maple syrup.
